Job Title: Account Manager - Packaging Products

Our client is a leading manufacturer of packaging products. They have a broad product mix, but the bulk of their products are used for packaging frozen foods. Their clients are food manufacturers and food distributors like Sysco.
The company has a SKU list of 400 products, and drive the bulk of their sales through distribution channels. You will be responsible for 35 distribution accounts and 15 key accounts, and are accountable for driving sales through these channels.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintain and increase sales year-over-year in your account base
Develop the relationship with the key parties in your accounts
Work with the distributors sales management and sales teams to educate them on new products, and help them sell more
Participate in ride along sales calls with the distributor's sales reps
Help identify new leads and opportunities for the distributors to foster the relationship and improve their effectiveness
The position offers a base salary of $50,000 with on target income of $65,000 in year 1.
Requirements:
-5+ years outside sales experience
-3+ years managing and growing distribution accounts
-Experience selling in the packaging industry is a key asset
-Excellent relationship building skills
-Outgoing person
-Strong work ethic, and highly accountable
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to work autonomously
