Candidates will be expected to have a minimum of eight years of direct experience in one or more of the following areas: electrical, mechanical, structural, or civil engineering; fire/explosion investigation; vehicle collision reconstruction; failure analysis; personal injury loss investigations; and product liability.
Applicants must be eligible for registration as a P.Eng. with APEGGA, and preferably will have significant prior court experience, including multiple qualifications as an expert witness in areas of his/her expertise.
Candidates must have excellent written and verbal skills and be capable of dealing with clients such as insurance adjusters, insurance companies, and lawyers. He/she must also be capable of conducting marketing efforts including seminars, presentations, and meetings for forensic-specific clients, to further develop the discipline in relevant areas.
