Vision Investment Properties is looking for a full-time Marketing Intern to join our Marketing team over a 4-month term, commencing in either April or May 2013. The internship will mainly focus on marketing efforts across all social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Blog, etc.). This includes content creation and the execution of online marketing strategies to increase brand visibility and traffic across all online channels.
However, at Vision, we are looking for someone who can not only think outside the box, but also play outside it. This internship will provide the opportunity for the Marketing Intern to take on marketing projects outside of social media marketing as well for an all-rounded experience in the marketing field. Manage and develop regular content for social media channels (Twitter, Facebook, Linkedin, blogs, YouTube, etc)
Develop content for website, user interfaces and email newsletters
Work with marketing team to create email campaigns and product launches
Organize events and execute event logistics
Meet weekly with Managing Partners to discuss KPI (Key Performance Indicators)
Perform general research and due diligence for marketing projects
Attends brainstorm sessions with internal and external teams and takes notes
Prepares meeting agendas and posts meeting minutes
Requests quotes from suppliers
Assists the recruiter with promotional staffing when necessary
Knowledge and skills required
Effective project management skills essential
Excellent team player with strong sense of initiative
Willingness and ability to work under pressure
Attention to detail
Web savvy, active on social media channels (particularly Twitter, Facebook, Blogs, YouTube) and in-the-know of up-to-date trends
Excellent communication, written, verbal and interpersonal skills are essential
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Previous marketing, writing or events experience (not required, but beneficial)
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Indesign (not required, but beneficial)
Reports directly to Marketing Manager
Education and Qualifications
Intern must be a student pursuing or a recent graduate with a degree or diploma in marketing, business, writing or a related field
