Journeyman Instrumentation Technician

Base Salary $40-50/hr, flexible vacation structure and additional vacation time
Overview
Our client seeks a Journeyman Instrumentation Technician to service and provide preventative maintenance onsite in Ft. McMurray. Though you will only be required onsite for 3 hours a day, Monday to Friday, your salary pays at a full 40 hour week, with on-call responsiblities.
The successful candidate will receive a hefty bonus and allowance package, including $1300/month for rental allowance, $500/month northern living allowance and a $1500 signing bonus. On top of this, you will also be given 7.5% of your salary, paid over 3 years as a retention bonus. For the ideal candidate, relocation assistance may be provided as well.
While the primary focus of the position is preventative maintenance you will also be responsible for occasional installs during up-grades as well as contributing ideas for continuous process improvement & maintaining a safe work environment. Your contributions to safety and process improvement will be tracked and reflected in potential advancement opportunities down the road.
Being such a large company, there will also be a good deal of room for future advancement, both in your field as well as in related fields. Defined paths exist for you to move into onsite supervision, account management or advancement into corporate maintenance management.
Required Experience and Qualifications
Journeyman ticket in Instrumentation and Control, electronics experience is an asset
Complex vessel training is a strong asset
Brazing certificate is an asset
Must have good problem solving abilities & interpersonal skills in dealing with clients
Valid driver’s license
