Overview
A family owned business in Lethbridge is seeking a full-time heavy duty mechanic. This company consists of permanent as well as seasonal employees, ranging from 25 to 50 employees throughout the year. The heavy duty mechanic is responsible for leading one other mechanic in daily tasks, perform repairs and maintenance on heavy duty equipment, and liaising progress and problems between mechanic and management.
Equipment includes cranes, excavators, dozers, loaders, dump trucks, amoung many others. Civil engineered construction projects on bridge construction, dams/spillways, sewer and waterwork, pile driving and demolition are typically performed within 150 km radius of Lethbridge.
This position is during the day, Monday to Friday, and there is the chance of overtime.
Requirements
Heavy Duty Equipment Certificate/Journeyman status
10-15 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Mechanic
Management/Supervisory experience
Ability to lead employees
