General Foreman - Mining Equipment (Job # 861)

Reporting to the Regional Service Manager, the General Foreman is responsible for organizing, directing and supervising all technicial support services for the mining equipment and shovel operations. This position will work with the customers to provide solutions and support as it relates to large equipment and shovel projects. The general responsibilities are to provide a safe work environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures; Collaborate with the Service Manager to create, monitor and implement the scheduling plan to effectively manage the workload; Develop and maintain effective communications, support and relationships with customers; Direct a team of service professionals ensuring team direction supports objectives and maximizes internal and external customer experience; Forecast and schedule service and maintenance work, Provide solutions on issues involving quality, cost, product upgrades and cost reducing strategies. This position will require you to possess a certification in the Heavy Equipment Technician trade. All candidates must have a minimum 5 years Management experience, along with strong planning and organizational skills, including the ability to meet deadlines and complete projects. Should have an excellent ability to resolve, implement, and enforce safety programs.
$180,000 - $190,000 per year (flexible depending on experience) + various other benefits and allowances. Relocation allowance offered as well.
Days, Monday to Friday. Should be flexible to work any hours as needed. Permanent relocation to the Fort McMurray area is required for this role.
