Heavy Equipment Technician (Job # 583)
Fort McMurray, AB
A heavy equipment shop in Fort McMurray is looking for 2 Journeyman Field Mechanics to join their team. Mining activities are increasing in Fort McMurray and additional technicians are required to keep operations running smoothly. Candidates with experience working on mining equipment will be given preference, the majority of repairs will be to Haul Trucks, Excavators and Dozers. Journeyman certification as a Heavy Duty Off Road technician is required with Red Seal endorsement. Candidates should be familiar with a variety of brands such as Hitachi, Volvo, CAT and John Deere.
$46.00 per hour plus $50.00 per day travel, $1,300 per month housing allowance or accommodations provided. Benefits after 3 month probation period.
14 days on, 14 days off. 12 hour shifts.
