The Function
As Production Engineer you will be an integral member of the team in Calgary and will play a key role participating in this function working on numerous aspects of development activities and the production optimization of wells and facilities. The key purpose of this function is to optimize production through effective and cost-efficient engineering design, evaluations, monitoring and performance review of existing and proposed wells and related facilities.
You will report to the Operations Manager. Peers will include drillings engineers, geologists, exploitation
engineers, and geophysicists.
The Individual
· Possess an engineering degree in related specialization and progressive industry experience in subsurface
or production engineering.
· P. Eng.
· Experience with deep, foothills carbonate structures is a definite asset.
· APEGGA member.
· Experience in both Alberta and British Columbia.
· Have a proven ability in working effectively with other technical and business functions as well as with
operations personnel, including in field locations.
· Must have detailed E&P sector experience with specific expertise in well technology covering inflow
performance, stimulation and completion design.
· Possess strong understanding of nodal analysis techniques, HYSIM or similar modeling techniques.
· An understanding of economic theory and investment appraisal techniques, preferably using Mosaic
and PEEP would be an advantage.
