Matrikon is currently seeking an achievement-oriented, innovative and motivated Project Engineer / Solutions Analyst to join a rapidly expanding client-focused team. The successful candidate will participate in several projects and support business processes using various applications.
The Solutions Analyst is responsible for providing consulting services on various projects involving the implementation and customization of Matrikon software, installation and commissioning of software applications on customer sites and ongoing support and trouble shooting for clients post implementation.
Position Responsibilities:
• Work with the client to gather business requirements.
• Interact with clients on a regular basis.
• Develop technical solutions to business problems.
• Participate in project team environment and while working with others to develop key business oriented solutions.
• Author functional requirements documentation.
• Author detailed design documentation.
• Deliver client training on new business processes and technology
• Coach and mentor client on new processes and technology
• Support of end users during solution roll out
Required Skills:

• Working knowledge of Oracle including experience in performing certain database tasks such as installing and building databases, identifying and fixing database errors

• Ability to travel to the client site up to 80% of the time
• Post Secondary degree or diploma in ChemE or other engineering discipline, including Computer Science.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience in one or more of the following industries: oil and gas, process, refineries, mining, or utilities
