Our Client a Canadian owned, privately held company with a reputation for aggressive market penetration and superb distribution channels is looking for a Logistics Coordinator.
Key Responsibilities
-Administer Time Trends forecasting system to effectively coordinate Production/Sales/Inventory requirements
-Administer the effective movement and storage of all finished goods inventory within the warehouse
-Coordinate the direct to store program
-Monitor inventory levels and lead times of large volume customers to ensure customer service levels are met by analyzing customer order data, on hand inventory and production scheduling. Advise Manager of any issues that impact customer service requirements
-Participate in special projects as assigned by the Distribution Manager
-Perform scheduling duties in a backup role to the Scheduler
Qualifications
-College Diploma in Business or Logistics
-3-5 years experience in a Distribution or Logistics environment
-Excellent Communication skills in English, written/verbal
-Ability to communicate effectively with peers and management as well as with external customers
-High attention to detail and persistence in resolving inventory related issues and discrepancies
-Knowledge of warehouse and inventory management techniques
-Knowledge of forecasting tools
-Experience in shipping via various modes of transport (truck, rail, tanker)
-Good working knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
-Good working knowledge of Infor (MAPICS) ERP system
-2-3 Years experience in leading a team, delegating tasks and assigning daily workload
