Service Advisor, Fleet Operations
 

Leavitt Machinery is one of North America’s largest Dealers for Materials Handling and Aerial equipment located in the Pacific Northwest. We sell, rent, lease, finance, service & supply parts for Caterpillar, Mitsubishi, Taylor and Manitou Forklifts as well as complementary product lines such as JLG Booms and Scissor Lifts, Comedil and Potain Cranes. We have an immediate opening in our Langley location for a Technical Advisor for the Fleet Operations Department. This individual will be responsible for maintenance support and approvals for repair on the long term rental fleet, recover damage from customers, manage and coordinate fleet return inspections for used equipment, understand and interpret warranty coverage for fleet units, maintenance work order billing and delivery and return freight arrangements when necessary. Other duties will include coordinating Fleet unit down situations with local service branches, arranging loaners when necessary, communicating correct billing according to coverage. You will act as an advisor to our Fleet Management group on recommended repairs and maintenance programs and making recommendations to the Sales Department on application specific options that reduce maintenance costs and risk of down time. The responsibilities and duties of this position may evolve and change over time and there is a strong possibility for advancement for the right person in this role.

The successful candidate should possess Operations experience and a mechanical aptitude or leadership experience in service or fleet maintenance. Additional experience and knowledge of electrical Materials Handling equipment would be considered an asset but is not required.
