Assistant Waiter
Your Individual Skills:
• Professional appearance
• Polite, outgoing, friendly, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations
• Anticipates customer needs, “whatever it takes” attitude
• Ability to speak English clearly and either Italian, French, Portuguese or German
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without aid
Your Role:
• Delivering outstanding customer service to all of our guests
• Knowledge of ship’s activities and functions
• Working knowledge of food terminology and wines
• Assisting the waiter to service the passenger’s needs in a friendly and positive manner using the basic service procedures found in any first class restaurant.
• Placing orders with galley and delivers entrees in a timely fashion
• Serving all non-alcoholic beverages to the passengers and constantly providing refills, learning the names and ingredients of all salad dressings and sweet rolls, and becoming familiar with all of the vegetables being served.
• Arranging table settings according to specifications
• Maintaining station to include linen, silverware, glassware, china etc.
• Motivated towards promotion to Waiter
Your Background:
• 2 years professional waiter experience in 4 or 5 star restaurant preferred
• Ability to perform basic match functions with regard to meal count procedures • Proven capability in applying customer service skills when interacting with guests and co-workers.
• Completion of high school or basic education preferred
•All International applicants must have the ability to obtain a C1/D Visa
