Summary:
You will be expected to lead and develop systems and processes that improve and enhance the effectiveness and performance of the Satellite Systems Business Unit.
Responsibilities:
Overall responsibility for setting and meeting quarterly and yearly sales and profitability targets of business unit.
Designing, measuring, refining and driving performance focused on maximum profitability.
Monitor sales activity relating to customers, pipeline and prospects. Provide accurate short and long term forecasts and hold people accountable to meeting their numbers.
Working with operations to deliver quality products and services on time and within budget.
Working with marketing to produce and execute campaigns and to generate leads for team members.
Understand and communicate customer requirements to the marketing and engineering teams.
Coordinate all partner related activities and lead the sales teams with respect to new product introduction, pricing recommendations, promotional ideas, product literature.
Build customer relationship strategies and ensure that strategies are effectively implemented. Proactively review and revise strategies.
Analyze sales results.
Promote products and services to target markets through development and maintenance of marketing programs that increase company and product visibility, project positive image, and deliver qualified sales leads.
Collaborate with engineering to ensure that the products respond to market needs, are able to compete, and can support revenue targets.
Deliver effective selling tools to support sales channels.
Analyze past direction, determine market sizes, design strategic options, and recommended courses of action.
Accumulate and analyze market intelligence. Evaluate the competitions strategic positioning and maintain updated competitive information for reference and strategic review.
Educational and Experience Requirements
Highly intelligent, team player, entrepreneurial professional with hands-on management style.
Undergraduate degree, preferably in engineering. A Masters of Business Administration degree is desirable.
A minimum of 5 years sales and/or marketing experience of technical products.
A minimum of 3 years experience in sales management of technical products.
A high degree of customer focus.
Ability to manage large strategic partners and develop new partnerships.
Ability to develop strategy(s) and execute against a revenue and profitability forecast and plan.
Demonstrated experience in dealing with multiple projects and excellent project management skills.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are required.
Leadership skills and the ability to interface with customers, sales and engineering staffs.
Knowledge of satellite and broadband communication industry is desired.
