Abdoolally Ebrahim Group is a 167 years old company established in Hong Kong since 1842. Our group is engaged in house wares, textiles, commodities and property investment. Our head office is based in Hong Kong with branch offices in China, India, Pakistan, Malaysia and Bangladesh. We are now planning to expand our commodities business in Canada. To cope with this expansion, we are now inviting high caliber candidate to join us as Logistic Manager in our Commodities Division.
Logistic Manager
Responsibilities:
The main purpose of this position is to manage and control all activities and process related to logistics, container/shipment tracking, export documentation/procedures and maintaining effective co-ordination with each transit point and people involved to ultimately reduce the number of transit days and minimize the cost.
Main duties:
• Coordinate with suppliers and processor; able to handle shipping line and forwarders.
• Arrange best way of transport to export goods.
• Well aware of the documentations required / procedures in export and be responsible for the compliance of all statutory & regulatory requirements applicable to exports.
• Coordinate with various agencies and shipment inspectors; ensure all the containers are inspected and report is sent over to the respective Authorities.
• To track market intelligence relating to exports to obtain all necessary advance licenses and subsidies / incentives.
Requirements
• University graduate.
• Candidate with MBA in Administration or any other professional qualification in Import & Export Management / Logistics Management is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experiences in related field.
• Excellent negotiation, communications and problem solving skills.
• Team player, mature, result-oriented, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English is a must. Knowledge of other language will be an added advantage.
• Position will be based in Vancouver
