Our client is a leading infrastructure developer and operator with presence in more than thirty countries. Their main focus is: designing, building, financing and maintaining infrastructure projects in many sectors.
Currently, the Canadian division is expanding their team and therefore looking for a highly motivated and qualified
SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR / COMMERCIAL MANAGER
(based out of Edmonton or Calgary)
The purpose of this role is to provide commercial, contractual and financial management services to the organization and its clients, to ensure project and business profit objectives and targets are met and to manage cash in order to maximise cash performance.
Also, this role is to maximise the financial effectiveness and profitability of the business through the application of proper contractual and commercial practices with a focus on risk management.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
* Preparing early stage budgets and detailed cost plans
* Liaising with clients on behalf of the company
* Pre and Post Contract Management
* Preparation of tender documents for early works packages
* Tender evaluation and reporting
* Preparing monthly financial / budget reports
* Providing post-occupancy advice, facilities management services and life cycle costing advice
Qualification of the right candidate:
* Certified Quantity Surveyor
* Minimum of 10 years experience working in the construction industry
* Experience in managing multi million dollar projects at a Senior level
* Previous experience working with post construction / maintenance contracts
* Strong interpersonal skills
