The Mess Manager plans, coordinates, manages, monitors and evaluates the operations and delivery of all mess activities and facilities including negotiating with suppliers and contractors. He/she develops Mess budgets and business plans and ensures the application of financial, administrative, and operational controls. He/she develops and implements marketing and promotional programs for mess activities and the use of mess facilities. The Mess Manager is also responsible for coordinating functions and supervising staff.
- College diploma or certificate in hospitality, food service management, or a related field AND several years experience in hospitality, food and beverage service sector.
- Some years experience in the food service sector, or in a related hospitality field, including supervisory experience.
