Responsibilities:
Meet/exceed territory sales with a heavy emphasis on new business developments (cold-calling, prospecting and closing skills) with large key accounts.
Be proficient in R3/BASE selling skills and implement to build strong customer relationships.
Differentiate our client from other industrial component vendors by building "partner" relationships with customers.
Focus on new business development by averaging a minimum of 16 to 20 sales calls per week, with at least 50% to assigned accounts.
Active involvement in industry related associations, as well as distributor, and customer events.
Proactively utilize all resources and sales tools to maximize productivity, responsiveness and customer satisfaction.
Continue personal growth and development.
Demonstrate technical competence on all products/solutions within area of focus.
Provide forecasts and reports to Regional Sales Manager as required.
Develop and implement effective sales plans across a geographic territory as defined by regional management.
Work independently or in conjunction with regional management to plan, document, measure and grow assigned distributor locations.
Deliver presentations and hands-on demonstrations of products, applications, and technology for the purpose of product sales.
Develop and maintain a working knowledge on all our clients products/solutions.
Qualify and follow-up on all leads within assigned territory and/or account portfolio.
Follow-up on all quotations within assigned territory and/or account portfolio.
Responsible for all sales related activities within assigned territory, with a focus on all control cabinet, machine mounted, and industrial networking solutions.
Drive value-added/custom solutions within assigned account base, comprised primarily of industrial OEMs, local end users and project business.
Requirements:
Four-year business degree.
Experience working with the engineering community.
Technical discipline and/or equivalent industrial industry experience.
3 to 5 years' minimum sales experience in the electronics marketplace.
Proficient with a computer and Windows based applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience working with distribution preferred.
Essential Job Functions:
Must be able to travel via airplane.
Home office space.
Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate an automobile for up to six hours at a time.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs (sample, demos, literature)
Must be able to travel overnight 25% as dictated by assigned territory.
Comply with company dress code guidelines.
Timely reporting of expenses, sales call activity, and opportunity tracking (not to exceed two weeks).
