The Quality Technician will be responsible for planning and executing internal audits, developing and administering database systems for data analysis, ensuring compliance of ISO9001 QMS and ISO 14001 environmental system protocols within the facility and documenting and implementing corrective action plans for all internal, customer, and Third Part audit findings. You will also be required to conduct process and finish goods audits to identity improvement opportunities, support and conduct training initiatives for internal auditors and quality inspectors, coordinate emergency and interim containment for customer complaints, and develop and maintain the supplier evaluation system by dealing with all supplier issues and following up with corrective and preventative actions.
The successful candidate will analyze data in order to report trends and opportunities for improvement, while maintaining the current Quality System and will have proven experience with the development and maintenance of quality manuals and procedures. In addition, you will define and implement standard work documents on the shop floor, maintaining and improving all process maps and supporting documentation, as well as coordinating APQP activities.
• Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in an automotive manufacturing environment
• Previous experience working with Microsoft Access
• Understanding of QMS as ISO 9001:2000 or TS 16949
• Programming experience in visual basic preferred
