Our client, a highly respected and well known manufacturer of specialized products, has engaged Prime Management Group Inc. to assist with their search for a Vice President of Finance to join them at their London facility.
The Vice President of Finance will be a contributing member of the strategic leadership team while overseeing the day-to-day functions of the administration areas. This critical role will include managing human resources, accounting, IT and be the overall driver of the office while ensuring everything runs effectively and efficiently.
The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, be articulate, with outstanding communication skills and be a team player. A steady and solid leadership style is required to support staff through their day to day tasks as well as provide direction.
This role requires an individual with 10+ years of experience in a leadership role with industrial and preferably manufacturing experience. You will have worked with various companies that have given you experience participating on, and managing cross functional teams. There will be a need to have a strong handle on up-to-date costing techniques as well as being involved in establishing margins and pricing structures. Experience with Canadian & US taxation, customs issues, CRA, as well as some legal experience in dealing with contracts is required. Experience with the application process regarding Research Tax Credits is an asset. An accounting designation is strongly preferred.
