We are working with a successful, growing global manufacturer of electro-mechanical instruments and devices (over $3.5B in size). They have an immediate need for a Regional Sales Engineer for their Toronto, Ontario Territory. This position will be responsible for new business development as well as account management of current clientele. In addition, this person will be responsible for handling sales leads, and cultivating them into sales opportunities in order to grow the territory. Our client services many industries including Medical, Bio-Science, Automotive, Industrial, Commercial, Transportation, Aerospace/Defense, etc…
This person will be responsible for facilitating the development of new market strategies including analytically discovering new product platform development profiles, finding new business opportunities, maintain existing accounts, and advising and guiding the business in the most effective use of resources for the purpose of meeting the territory’s growth goals.
• Bachelor’s Degree (Technical Degree Preferred - Electrical/Mechanical) desired but not required
o 2-8+ Years Technical Sales experience, ideally with one or more of the following: motors (stepper, servo, miniature, DC, etc…), blowers, linear motion products, actuators, etc…Must have very strong negotiation and value selling skills.
o Must be computer and software proficient (MS Office, Lotus Notus, Oracle a plus)
o Technical and overall business acumen; must have very strong communication skills, ability to build rapport quickly, and ability to interface effectively with various levels of professionals from both a customer perspective as well as internally/corporate.
o Ability to travel to customers as needed for customer needs (up to 50%, regional only).
