Our client, who is a global leader that supplies to the High Tech Industry, has an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineer. This role will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions to drive the implementation of new product mass manufacturing. The Manufacturing Engineer will focus on quality and cost while consulting with engineering and design teams as well as clients throughout the full product development life cycle.
The Successful candidate will perform PFMEA reviews; provide support to the manufacturing team, as well as review plant layouts and overall manufacturing efficiencies. The role requires an individual with strong attention to detail, extremely organized, with great communication skills and diplomacy while interacting with various stakeholders.
The Manufacturing Engineer must have a Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5 years experience in a similar role. Previous experience working with vendors through the development process is an asset. Previous experience within Tier 1 automotive plastics parts would be a benefit. Preference will be given to individuals with the green or black belt lean manufacturing designations.
