Our government client is seeking a Telecommunications Analyst - Senior Level

Secondary school diploma is required
Certificate, diploma, or degree in telecommunications, information technology or computer science or other relevant field from a recognized post secondary institution may be required
Minimum of three (3) years of telecommunications, informatics experience, computer science or other relevant experience is required
Formal training or demonstrated experience with configuration and management of Microsoft Windows Server 2003 within the last 60 months;
Formal training or demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows XP and Windows 7 client workstation software;
Knowledge of web-based application architecture;
Formal training or demonstrated experience with switching and routing using Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) supporting, but not limited to, Voice over IP (VoIP), streaming video and video teleconferencing (VTC). Associated with this requirement is demonstrated experience with Cisco routing and switching equipment within the last 60 months;
Demonstrated experience in enterprise system management and network administration within the last 60 months;
Install, configure and update software platforms on servers and workstations.
Monitor and maintain Army networking equipment, servers and applications at the Army Network Operations Centre (ANOC) facility.
Provide IT/IM support to Army system managers.
Provide technical guidance and assistance for the installation and maintenance of networking equipment, servers and applications at remote sites.
Prepare and load operational and geographic data necessary for operations and/or exercises. This data comprises of, but is not limited to, maps and databases.
Respond to technical inquiries relating to the installation and maintenance of networking equipment, servers and applications. Responses to inquiries need to be provided as soon as possible but no later than 30 days from the initial inquiry.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to the network, servers and applications.
Identify and document system level problems.
Ensure that routine disaster recovery procedures are carried out using the tools available on the network.
Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
Facilitate knowledge transfer to Director Land Command and Information (DLCI) technical personnel and military staff members.
Develop and maintain technical operating procedures and system management documentation.
Attend meetings as requested with DLCI clients.
Carry out any other system administrator related tasks requested by the technical authority to support ANOC.
