CNC Brake Operator
Responsibilities include set up and operation of a computer numerical control (CNC) press brake, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, maintaining equipment.
Duties: Job description
Plans bending by studying work orders, blueprints, materials, specifications, locations, interpreting geometric dimensions and tolerances.
Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces while adhering to company standards.
Maintains specifications by observing measurements, detecting malfunctions, troubleshooting processes, adjusting and reprogramming controls, adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs.
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
Accomplishes the company's goals by accepting ownership for new and challenging requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills/Qualifications:
Conceptual Skills, Process Improvement, Verbal Communication, Functional and Technical Skills, Controls and Instrumentation, Tooling, Coordination, Attention to Detail, Trumpf experience an asset.
