Residential HVAC&R Service Technician
Location: Burnaby
Our client is currently has an opening for Residential HVAC & R Service Technician to join their service department at Burnaby location.
Nature of the position:
- Assemble and install refrigeration and air conditioning components
- Install, troubleshoot and overhaul entire heating, ventilation, air handling, refrigeration and air conditioning systems
- Recharge system with refrigerant, check and test regulators, calibrate system and perform routine maintenance or servicing
- Repair and replace parts and components for entire refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation and heat pump systems.
- Start up system and test for leaks using testing devices
- Measure and cut piping, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment
- Measure and lay out reference points for installation
Skill Requirements:
- HVAC&R diploma or equivalent experience
- Gas “B” Ticket
- Minimum of 3 years experience working with residential HVAC&R
- Dedication to perform exceptional quality installations
- Ability to work on-site unsupervised
- Experience & understanding of structural plans
- Ability to read and contribute to HVAC designs
- Punctual, conscientious and a positive, can-do attitude with the ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills; both verbal and writing
- Steel toed safety boots
- Own hand tools
- Valid Drivers License and current abstract from the motor vehicles department
