Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager with experience in the mine tailings area, particularly dealing with slurries for their engineering consulting company based in Richmond, BC. The consulting company provides comprehensive multi-discipline design and engineering service to a number of heavy industrial core clients in maintaining and upgrading their facilities.
The Senior Project Manager will direct and implement multi-discipline projects and oversee other Project Managers. You will serve as a focal point for all project-related communication with clients in order to ensure consistent service and that Fransen and client S&Ps are fully used on their project(s). Coordinate with Discipline Managers regarding resource requirements and reviewing and approving invoices for their project(s). Occasional (average once a month) to frequent (average two to three days a week) travel to client sites will be required for discussion and project coordination
Requirements:
•Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligible for registration in BC and Alberta
•Project Management Professional (PMP) status will be considered an asset
•A minimum of 10 years of senior project management experience, including significant experience leading multi-discipline projects
•A minimum of 2 years experience working as a project manager in a mine tailings area, particularly dealing with slurries
•Strong technical background in your base discipline along with a good general working knowledge of the remaining core disciplines
•Strong general project management skills (estimating, scheduling, quality control, scope control, etc.)
•Strong interpersonal skills for both client and internal team interfaces
•Excellent oral and written skills
