Director Human Resources
 

Our client a leading provider of wireless communication solutions in North America is seeking a Director Human Resources. The Director Human Resources will be responsible for the overall human resources strategy and the design, implementation and communication of company-wide HR policies, programs and practices.

Duties and responsibilities include the following:

• Develop and implement HR policies and procedures and ensure that policies are current including establishing a process to communicate and disseminated the policies and procedures to all staff within the organization.
• Implement performance management and recruitment strategies.
• Support the organization's training and development initiatives by developing, sourcing and delivering specific training programs.
• Ensure effective and efficient processes in the areas of pension, benefits and compensation.
• Champion workplace safety programs to ensure regulation compliance and an accident free workplace
• Direct and ensure participation/compliance with Federal Contractors Program and Employment Equity practices
• Provide expert consultation to divisional General Managers and Directors regarding performance management, career development and overall staffing strategy

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field.
• 8 - 10 years of progressive HR experience including experience in multiple areas of HR
• Experience supporting client groups in a 500 plus employee environment within a high technology environment preferred.
• Proven ability to develop effective relationships across all levels of the organization and diverse client groups.
• Ability to diagnose and successfully handle complex employee relations and organizational development issues.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, ever-changing environment.
• Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation preferred.
• Working knowledge of U.S. Labour law, competitive benefits and 401K
• Willing and able to travel as required
