Our client a leading provider of wireless communication solutions in North America is seeking a Director Human Resources. The Director Human Resources will be responsible for the overall human resources strategy and the design, implementation and communication of company-wide HR policies, programs and practices.
Duties and responsibilities include the following:
Develop and implement HR policies and procedures and ensure that policies are current including establishing a process to communicate and disseminated the policies and procedures to all staff within the organization.
Implement performance management and recruitment strategies.
Support the organization's training and development initiatives by developing, sourcing and delivering specific training programs.
Ensure effective and efficient processes in the areas of pension, benefits and compensation.
Champion workplace safety programs to ensure regulation compliance and an accident free workplace
Direct and ensure participation/compliance with Federal Contractors Program and Employment Equity practices
Provide expert consultation to divisional General Managers and Directors regarding performance management, career development and overall staffing strategy
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field.
8 - 10 years of progressive HR experience including experience in multiple areas of HR
Experience supporting client groups in a 500 plus employee environment within a high technology environment preferred.
Proven ability to develop effective relationships across all levels of the organization and diverse client groups.
Ability to diagnose and successfully handle complex employee relations and organizational development issues.
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, ever-changing environment.
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) designation preferred.
Working knowledge of U.S. Labour law, competitive benefits and 401K
Willing and able to travel as required
