An engineering company based in Vancouver has an opportunity for a Project Manager.
The Project Manager will coordinate and direct projects varying in size and complexity in local, national and international locations. The project manager will manage multi-functional teams on a variety of bulk materials handling projects.
You are a Senior Mechanical Design engineer who has had a career progression to Project Manager over multiple disciplines. You will also have specific design experience for Bulk Materials Handling equipment for the mining industry dealing with materials such as iron ore, coal or copper concentrate.
Requirements:
• A Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Applied Sciences as well as be registered, or eligibility for registration with APEGBC.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) status will be considered an asset
• A minimum 7 years' proven project management experience with an emphasis on heavy industrial projects such as bulk materials handling equipment.
• A proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously or a single project of major size and scope for an engineering consulting firm or other large organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience preparing proposals and delivering presentations.
• The ability to meet the challenge of tight deadlines and providing exceptional service to our clients is a must.
• Fluency in another language, preferably either Spanish or Portuguese is considered an asset
