Objective:
To provide and ensure superior food and beverage service to our guests in an efficient and courteous manner, while also maintaining CHIP and Marriott standards in all areas of food and beverage, including banquets and in-room dining.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts and checks on banquet room set-ups and service
- Checks on event order sheets to ensure all aspects of function are completed
- Provide timely food & beverage service while ensuring a quality guest experience
- Sets tables, inspects linen, silver, china and other table items
- Completes set up of food, coffee, water and other beverages as needed
- Refers food or service complaints to the Food & Beverage Manager or Manager on Duty
- Works as a team with other servers to ensure that prompt service is given at all times.
- Able to train and coach associates in delivering excellent service and how to carry out proper banquet set-ups.
- May be required to work in other areas of food and beverage where needed
- Other duties as assigned by Food and Beverage Manager
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptionally strong guest service skills to ensure superior guest service
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership skills and ability to take initiative to get tasks done
- Possess strong attention to details
- Passion and drive to work and excel in the Hospitality Industry
- Able to multi-task and meet deadlines
- Team-player who is able to recognize the value of guests and associates
- Be able to work various shifts, including afternoons and weekends
- Current business levels require the successful applicant to be available during the days, but shifts can vary due to additional business requirements
- Must have Serving it Right (SIR) certification
- Micros knowledge an asset
