Junior Application Engineer PROGRAM TECH Job # 4171

Evaluates reliability of materials, properties and techniques used in production; plans, designs and develops electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, mechanical systems, equipment and packaging, optical systems and/or DSP systems. Analyzes equipment to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates electronic parts, components or integrated circuitry for electronic equipment and other hardware systems. Participated in product technical support to resolve customer problems related to product performance or system application. Determines design approaches and parameters. May also review vendor capability to support product development. Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues. Selects, designs and tests products/processes to meet specifications, costs, and manufacturability and reliability goals. Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. Designs from a functional specification, and executes test plans according to requirements. Provides concise documentation to support development, manufacturing, and field service. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work. Work is regularly reviewed by supervisor/senior peers. Builds stable working relationships internally. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, C.S. or related discipline. Typically requires 0-3 years of professional experience.
