We are currently looking for Instrument Mechanics for mines in the Southeast Region of beautiful British Columbia. Surrounded by mountains, there are a mix of activities available for every interest. There are many summer and winter activities available such as fishing, hiking, skiing, and snowmobiling.
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time, Day
Salary: $31.00-33.00 Hourly. Shifts are 4 on and 4 off, 2 days and 2 nights. Overtime is paid at double time.
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
Location: near Elkford and Fernie, BC in the Southeast corner of BC.
Skill Requirements:
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Industrial Instrument Mechanic Trade Certification, Red Seal Certificate preferred.
Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years
Languages: Speak English, Read English, Write English
Type of Industry Experience: Mining
Specific Skills: Reporting to the Maintenance Foreman, Processing, the Instrumentation Mechanic is responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of processing plant equipment. This includes DCS controls, flowmeters, weightometers, temperature sensors and density measurement devices. Knowledge of Rockwell Automation family products including ControlLogix PLC would be an asset. Previous PLC programming experience using RSLogix 5000 and Factory Talk software is highly recommended.
Additional Skills: Read blueprints, Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work, Logical approach for troubleshooting
