Terms of Employment:
Dependent upon experience; Bonus opportunity up to 10% based on company performance and safety objectives. Excellent benefits package - one of the best in the industry.
Travel and Relocation:
A full relocation package is available
12 hour shifts: 4 day on 4 days off - 2 days, 2 nights, 4 off
Anticipated Start Date:
As soon as possible
Number of Vacancies:
o Several years of experience as a power engineer with increasing responsibility, including supervisory experience
o A 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate (3rd Class Certificates with several papers written toward completion of 2nd Class requirements will also be considered)
Skills and Abilities:
o Proven ability to supervise in a unionized environment
o Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
o Strong organizational, and communication skills
o Excellent interpersonal and team building skills
o Demonstrated problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills
o Desire to progress, learn, grow, and succeed
o Physical ability to work 12-hour shifts
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintaining a safe work environment
Ensuring consistent operations of the pulp and paper mill
Work towards achieving operating target goals
Facilitating the reliable supply of services to the mill
Directing a shift crew
Operating a wide variety of equipment including:
- Power/package boilers
- Chemical recovery boiler
