Flat Roofer/Sheet Metal Roofer
Located on the southern tip of Vancouver Island, Victoria, BC is a beautiful city that caters to all lifestyles. One of the largest roofing companies on Vancouver Island is looking for new and experienced roofers that specialize either flat roofing, cladding or metal roof applications. An increased emphasis on quality, and rapid growth in both the commercial and residential sectors has led to an increase in demand for all types of roofing solutions.
Salary: $29.00 for Journeyman roofers with benefits and overtime.
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.

Skill Requirements:
Education:
Completion of high school, Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Sheet Metal Trade Certification, Roofer Trade Certification, Red Seal or Inter-Provincial certificate is preferred. Should there be no qualified Journeyman Roofer or Sheet Metal applicants, we may consider hiring Apprentices with experience in flat roofing or metal roof installations, standing seam or cladding at the apprenticeship wage.
Experience: 3-5 Years of roofing experience.
Languages: Speak English, Read English
Specific Skills:
Flat Roofer: Asphalt roofer, Flat roofer, Residential steep roofer, Roofer, Shingler, Single-ply roofer and Commercial Roofer. Roofers install, repair or replace flat roofs and shingles, shakes or other roofing tiles on sloped roofs.
Sheet Metal Roofer: Fabricating and install sheeting, flashing, cladding, standing seam metal roofing, apply waterproof coatings to concrete and masonry surfaces, troubleshoot, detect leaks and lead the installation, welding, burning, cutting, layout, caulking, fastening, repair, hoisting and rigging of metal and translucent sheets, insulation, ventilators, all flashings, gutters, louvers, soffits, skylights and metal doors when associated with the construction of buildings.
