Accountant/Analyst
Insta-Rent Ltd. is looking for a dynamic Accountant/Inventory Analyst to join their team. This position will be responsible for assisting the Controller in assuring accuracy of inventory information and support of store locations.
Responsibilities:
• Process inventory vendor invoices and credit notes.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare cheque runs.
• Ensure that deadlines are met for vendor payment cycles and accounting month end cut-offs.
• Maintain inventory schedules including inventory additions and return to vendors.
• Monitor the dispositions of inventory relating to write-offs, duplicate entries, combined units, and returns to vendors.
• Maintain working relationships with Vendors.
• Support the regional managers in inventory procedures and issues.
• Assist the team with other accounting procedures as time permits.
• Assist with journal entries and special projects to identify opportunities for improvement
In addition to the above, the successful candidate will be a team player, professional, highly organized, and able to perform in a fast paced office environment.
The ideal candidate will be working towards a degree with an accounting major, applied accounting degree or diploma in Business Administration and has 2 years relevant experience with inventory.
