The Dishwasher will understand the true meaning of customer service excellence and possess a superior work ethic enabling him/her to be a positive and effective team leader. The successful candidate will possess some or all of the following characteristics:
•Ability to work both evenings and weekends
•Capable of lifting up o 100lbs
•Valid Alberta Drivers License an asset
•Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations
•Ability to read, write and speak English
The dishwasher maintains a high level of service, integrity and hospitality at all times. Work duties include, but are not limited to the following:
•Checks dish machine, drains tank, reassembles the machine, refills the tank, and insures the dish machine is ready to operate before meals are served
•Cleans and mops before meal period, checks for broken items, debris, and wet areas on the floor. Ensuring that the hazard is removed or clearly marked
•Cleans sanitizes, sweeps, mops, and mops general work areas
•Removes trash containers (weighing up to 100lbs) from the food production area before meal periods
•Operates the dish machine and pot washing equipment during and after meal periods
•Cleans and disassembles dish washing equipment at the end of the day
•Understands and applies safety procedures when using all equipment.
•Understands chemical hazards and follows safety procedures when using chemicals, chemical compounds and cleaning products
•Knows correct temperature for washing, rinsing, and pre-soaking all pots, pans, utensils, plates, glasses etc.
•Knowledge of proper rotation of food items
•The dishwasher performs side duties that include cleaning, setting up presoaking solution, organizing and cleaning wet/dry store rooms, cleaning of equipment and other duties required by management.
