DATA DEVELOPER
Data developer on a multi-year, global, strategic, front-office project.
Work closely with trading desk and Analytics group to develop a highly flexible backend application.
Strong data modeling skills preferably with ERWIN as the development tool.
Significant interaction with front-end users and global technology teams.
Candidate will be involved in quick business deliverables and strategic initiatives such as: scalability of backend , future product/account integration roadmap and evaluation/integration of new technologies.
Requirements:
Strong database design and development skills
Flexibility and ability to handle multiple tasks
Five+ years datawarehouse and ETL development.
Five+ years of Sybase , UDB experience.
Five+ years ETL development using Informatica.
Three+ years of Perl/Shell scripting knowledge. Ability to re-engineer complex Perl scripts involving risk calculations to ETL.
Two+ years with Microsoft Analysis Services.
Excellent knowledge of fixed income products, particularly Credit Derivatives and risk.
Prior experience working on large, fixed income trading systems.
Proficiency in the Unix/Linux environment.
Excellent organizational skills.
Willingness to support the system.
Team player with positive attitude and a willingness to take on responsibility as part of a high profile development effort.
Well rounded personality with the potential to lead and excellent communication skills.
