Job Description:
The Senior Oracle DBA will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of
all Oracle Financial Applications 11.5.10 and HR Payroll; installation,
configuration and upgrades (security updates) of multiple environments on HP-UX;
cloning of Oracle Application 11.5.10 environments; performance monitoring and
optimization of the Application and Databases; Oracle system administration and
Unix shell scripting; Leading moderately complex projects and cross functional
teams; documenting technical procedures and implementation plans; developing and
maintaining project plans, monitoring and reporting project status; facilitating
resolution of complex technical issues by working with cross-functional teams.
Education:
BS/BA Degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent education,
training and experience.
Experience:
Skills and experience typically gained through five to seven years of
progressively more responsible IT experience. Must have at least 3+ years
experience as an Oracle Applications DBA which encompasses supporting the
e-Business Suite (preferably 11.5.10) with 9i or 10g databases; experience with
installation, configuration, ongoing maintenance and upgrades; proficiency on
HP-UX platform; performance monitoring and optimization, Oracle system
administration and SQL, PL/SQL and Unix shell scripting, Oracle Express, Oracle
Reports and OFA experience. Knowledge of underlying Oracle Applications database
architecture schemas/products, database objects, technology stack, file systems.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Optio and
Oracle Financial Analyzer/Enterprise Planning and Budgeting would be a plus.
