Web Operations and Unix Administrator (Solaris 10, some Linux)
- Provide UNIX system administration functions on Solaris 10 and/or Linux such as organizing user permission and groups, scripts for software installation, applying patches, etc.
- Perform an assessment on their deployment processes and overall production readiness. Assist in implementing and enhancing the existing deployment and release framework using scripts / tools such as cruise control, subversion, ant, shell scripting, WLST, etc.
- Drive standards and consistency around deployments of application on JBOSS and WebLogic Server across US and UK with around a dozen applications.
- Assist with front end web tool integration using PHP or recommend other alternatives.
- Update existing ant and cruise control release scripts
