Responsibilities include:
* Develop functional and detailed design documents for Data Mart development projects including definition of data model, overall data architecture analysis, source-to-target mappings, and data flow diagrams
* Develop and document extract, transformation, and load (ETL) programs
* Optimize performance of ETL processes
* Identify and document test cases for unit and system testing
* Reduce on-boarding time for employees to set up new environments and simultaneous QA efforts and also the effort and risk for new projects
Activities and tasks will also include: documentation (get the process on paper and have it documented), process flow (input and output into the data warehouse environment), and detailed designs around the data mart (get a deep understanding around the key areas). Technology includes: Oracle 8i; configured and written in Informatica; 80-85% of code is in C or Pro C; Legacy environment.
