We are looking for mid to senior level testers with strong experience testing IBM Mainframe TSO/ISPF applications. Candidates must have excellent communication skills, TSO/ISPF, and DB2 and SQL experience is desired. Candidates must have predominant manual testing experience and experience writing test plans and test documentation from scratch, without using scripts or templates.

Job Description:
Consultants will be provided business and system requirements for which they will translate into either a test strategy document or test plan or both. Test cases will be developed to address functional and regression testing needs for both positive and negative testing scenarios. Test cases must be mapped back to requirements and documented in a Traceability document. Consultants will participate in peer reviews of the test artifacts prior to test execution.

The consultant must have demonstrated experience in preparing testing strategies and test plans. We are interested in a highly skilled and experience analyst with the ability to walk in and hit the ground running with minimal oversight. Applicants must have experience in working on large scale projects which follow the standard project development life cycle process and be well versed in CMMI Verification and Validation requirements.

Consultants will manually key test cases into the systems, verify the test cases are correctly processed through the applications as well as review files and logs to validate the rating steps have been applied correctly. Defects need to be documented and sent to appropriate resources for resolution as well as be responsible for the follow up of problems until resolution is achieved. Consultants will not have the responsibility for automated script testing but will be involved with resources on a separate team who perform script testing.
