Client is seeking to immediately engage project management support with a focus on program design, development and implementation. The ideal project manager
will have experience supporting businesses that have a strong service delivery focus. This contract is not IT focused
Project Description:
The selected contractor will work with the Client Services business leads and senior
management, and other assigned internal and contracted resources to provide project
strategic planning, analytical and delivery support to the corporation on the following
projects:
Client Services Big Picture Implementation Project: The Client Services Division's front
line human resource requirements are evolving to meet growing and changing client service
requirements. This project will see the development and implementation of a strategic
short term training strategy to support staff in their transition and a long term employee
development framework. Communications and Change Management activities will be important
to the success of this initiative
Employer Reporting Project: Employers use a number of tools, to submit employee salary and
service information on a regular basis. There is a need to upgrade and improve the method used to support employers in providing information in a more user friendly web-based format. Support is required in terms of developing timelines, cost-benefit analysis, business requirements, and acting as a liaison with the
employers through surveys and focus testing. The business Project Manager is not responsible for the technological solution.
Nature of the Work
The contractor will provide hands-on services in the following areas:
1. Develop and monitor project work plans and schedules
a. Co-ordinate activities and resourcing to achieve project deliverables and timelines
b. Manage the delivery and implementation of project deliverables
c. Assess and offset risks of implementing changes defined by the projects
d. Report to business leads on status, issues, and issues resolution
e. Liaise with other corporate branches to ensure the design, development and implementation of related business
2. Facilitate Workshops and one-on-one interviews:
a. With business representatives and client users to clarify, define and document the business requirements
3. Prepare, and develop project specific documentation, including:
a. Project management documentation (i.e. Project Statement, Work Plans, Change Requests, Issue Papers, Lessons Learned, Post-Implementation Report)
b. Flow charts and process documents for new process development or modifications to existing technologies
c. Implementation and training plans for the new business process and/or enhancements, including any decommission of processes being replaced Bi-weekly and ad-hoc Status Reports
