· Experience configuring and deploying Tipping Point IPS in an Enterprise Environment.
· Experience developing the site specific Security and Network design, architecture and blueprints and make recommendation to placement of IPS within the complex network environment
· Experience leading LAN and WAN teams to ensure all parties understand Architecture.
· Experience deploying of the IPS infrastructure and lead the LAN and WAN team on the network changes required.
· Experience leading the technical discussions with the end customer.
· Experience deploying and configuring the Tipping Point SMS (Management Console)
· Experience providing direction the policy tuning and policy evolution.
· Experience creating appropriate change management documentation
· Experience setting up and conducting Lab testing including network components and SMS.
· Experience researching, diagnosing, and reproducing complex technical problems.
· Experience liaising with Operations to solve problems that may arise during the project deployments
· Experience determining and implementing solutions to technical difficulties that might be encountered during study, survey, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of telecom networks.
Skills
· Senior Architectural knowledge of networks (LAN, WAN), Internet, Security (Firewall, etc.), and DMZ
· Strong understanding of enterprise firewalls including HA configurations.
· Strong experience in designing, implementing, maintaining and monitoring of complex enterprise LAN/WAN environments.
· Senior level understanding of routers, switches, firewalls, content filtering, IPS, and IDS products (TP specific, Juniper would also be helpful).
· Direct experience with complex networks, including firewalls, IPS, IDS, content filtering, and VPN (RAS) access design, deployment, administration and support.
· In depth knowledge of OSPF and other network routing protocols.
· The ability to create detailed design specifications and test plans.
· Demonstrated ability to work under tight timeframes and meet project deadlines.
· The ability to perform at a high level with limited supervision or guidance.
