The Project Manager provides project leadership in delivering innovative technology-based solutions to the Investment and Finance Divisions. The scope of this leadership spans the business analysis and project management disciplines, including requirements gathering, gap analysis, functional design, component testing as well as project planning, staffing, scheduling and general oversight. Working closely with clients, stakeholders and team members, the Project Manager ensures that projects are successfully completed.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Consults with clients to identify opportunities where the enhancement or introduction of technologies would benefit the Investment and / or Finance Divisions.
• Confers with clients, stakeholders, management and technical staff to define the objectives, scope, benefits and milestones of projects.
• Engages clients and stakeholders in gathering detailed business requirements.
• Outlines milestones, activities, technical requirements, staffing requirements and risks combining these into a project plan.
• Monitors and adapts project plan in response to new ideas, technical challenges or changes to business requirements throughout the life of the project.
• Communicates project status to team members, clients, stakeholders and management throughout the life of the project.
• Shepherds portal and collaboration technology solutions through the software development lifecycle.
• Collaborates with end users and Quality Assurance colleagues to construct testing scenarios and scripts.
• Facilitates effective communication amongst project team members and client stakeholders.
• Serves as primary technical contact for the troubleshooting and resolution of application issues - liaising with vendors as necessary.
• Ensures successful project completion.
Qualifications
• Business or Computer Science degree or equivalent working experience.
• Minimum 7 years experience in information technology.
• Minimum 3 years experience working in financial services.
• Minimum 3 years experience as a project team lead, business analyst or project manager.
• Experience in managing all facets of the project lifecycle.
