Retail Business Analyst
Overview:
Business Analyst for Merchandising, Replenishment, Modular Planning, Operations, Logistics, Imports, Replenishment,
Responsibilities:
•Assess the business needs of the company and then co-ordinate payback and justification of the enhancement or new Application /Report/ad-hoc requests.
•Source the developmental requirements through all divisions.
•Manage the Development efforts for new applications /reports/ad-hoc requests
•Work closely with the Development Manager to determine the roll-out, education and communication strategy of new applications / reports introduced to the business.
•Communicate to the users the features and benefits of the project to create awareness, understanding and to promote support for the implementation and subsequent usage.
•Create & Implement Roll-Out Strategy/Schedule for applications/reports for the business.
•Manage the implementation of new applications /reports.
•Facilitate/Co-ordinate Initial Training [Train the Trainer] with Associate Learning and Development Team.
•Provide support on systems issues or create ad-hoc reports.
Qualifications:
•Post Secondary Education either in Business or an IT related field.
•Understanding of standard Project Management role and development life cycle processes.
•Extensive knowledge in retail business operations and broad knowledge in technology.
•Extensive knowledge with SQL, Visual Basic, MS Word, Excel, Databases, PowerPoint, Visio, MS Project a must.
•Decision-making using a high degree of judgment that may involve several operating divisions.
•Excellent interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
•Ability to write proposals, technical documents and flow charting a must.
•Must be a self-motivated, self directed team player.
•Substantial attention to detail is necessary.
•Ability in making presentations to diverse types of audiences (e.g., senior management, management, vendors, and technical staff).
•Proven ability to manage conflict and find resolution.
•Adept at proactively identifying issues, determining appropriate course of action, and building consensus.
•Must be experienced at executing in a fast-paced environment, with the possibility of juggling multiple projects simultaneously.
•Service orientated with the ability to effectively manage user expectations and needs.
•Willingness to learn and adapt to change in a highly flexible environment.
