HR/Health and Safety Generalist
Seeking a highly motivated and energetic individual for industry leader in heavy construction equipment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in administration and implementation of HS&E program
• Provide daily support to the equipment branches located in Alberta
• Support the attainment of the certificate of recognition in Alberta
• Assist in accident investigations and reporting of injuries to the Alberta WCB
• Ensure monthly workplace inspections with applicable members of the H&S committee
• Provide leadership to the HS&E committees at the branches
• Assist with development of Hazard Assessments, safe work practices as required at all branches
• Responsible for daily human resources, health and safety and environmental matters
• Takes direction from the General Manager and the Plant Manager
• 50 percent travel to other Alberta branches (position based in Calgary)
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary degree or diploma
• 5 years of relevant experience in HR
• Completion of ACSA (or willingness to complete)
• Experience in HR fundamentals i.e. recruiting, employee relations, training, compensation etc.
• Familiarity with heavy equipment/construction industry
