Quality Manager (biligual Japanese / English )
 

Hello,

We are VERY URGENTLY looking for a Quality manager for one of our clients (Automotive) to manage, plan, coordinate, and direct the overall quality control program designed to ensure continuous production of quality products consistent with established standards by per-forming the following duties personally or through assigned staff.

Job location: Torrance, California

REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum of a Four-year college degree preferably in business, management, operations, engineering, technology or quality related field preferred.
• Minimum Five (5) years previous experience in the applicable field.
• Some demonstrated leadership ability required.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in the automotive electronics industry strongly preferred.
• Must possess and be able to apply a broad knowledge of Quality principles, practices and procedures.
• Must have a good understanding of quality approaches.
• Ability to be fluent in Quality Tools, Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Quality Analytical Skills is strongly preferred.
• Previous work experience in a cross-cultural, international environment preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with the computer applications appropriate to the position and assignment.
• For this position, fluent bi-lingual English-Japanese verbal and written communication skills required.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Establishes goals, objectives, and budgets for area of responsibility by identifying necessary resources to implement business and quality objectives and adhering to them.
• Plans and coordinates organizational activities, establishing priorities and sequences to meet the designated quality goals and objectives.
• Develops, reviews, utilizes, and analyzes statistical data, reports, and other data to identify and resolve problems or address issues related to quality or management system.
• Directs and manages staff in assigned activities, reviews and evaluates performance and participates in development and training to ensure continuous quality control and customer compliance.
• Creates, implements, enforces, maintains, policies, procedures, and related documents to comply with customer and quality system requirements, including but not limited to directing internal audits, management, quality, resources reviews, quality plans, corrective and preventative countermeasures.
• Reviews, analyzes, and utilizes, reports or other data to resolve problems or address issues related to area of quality.
• Manages projects related to quality improvement and supplier relations utilizing customer required formats such as Production Parts Approval Process (PPAP) and Advanced Production Quality Process (APQP) techniques.
• Advises appropriate management of problems and progress in area of responsibility.
• Provides support for business proposal activity related to area of responsibility.
• Interfaces with internal and external customers.
• Interprets specifications and job orders to subordinates either verbally or in writing.
• Maintains and improves employee morale.
• Interprets and complies with Company policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Prepares reports, charts, graphs, and other statistical information.
• Will initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
