Investigations & Resolutions Department of the College is currently seeking to fill the role of Decisions Coordinator.
As the Decisions Coordinator, and a member of the I&R team, you work closely with other members of the team to coordinate a range of activities associated with the College’s Inquiries, Complaints and Reports Committee . Your primary responsibility is to write clear and cogent Committee decisions and reasons for the decisions reflecting all documents, written Standards of Practice for the profession and generally accepted standards of the profession as well as any relevant statutes and regulations a panel of the ICRC considered in its deliberations prior to disposing of a complaint.
You have the ability to distill information and identify the key elements that support the Committee’s reasons for its decisions.
In collaboration with the Manager, Investigations and Resolutions, you will draft Undertakings for member agreement. You will coordinate the decision approval process, ensuring finalization in a timely manner.
You are an experienced writer possessing strong verbal and written communication skills. You are ethical and can be trusted to use judgment and discretion in providing sensitive information to others on behalf of the College in a diplomatic, tactful and professional manner. You are analytical in nature, able to identify problems and inconsistencies and bring them forward to the Manager for resolution. You are organized, able to work independently, and able to multi task and set priorities to meet strict deadlines. Above all, you are able to work collaboratively and respectfully with other members of a team. Experience in legal writing and knowledge of self regulation would be an asset.
