THE ROLE
The Mining Engineer will report to the Technical Services Manager. You will support the Mines and Projects through mine planning, development of improved work practices, introduction of new mining technologies, problem solving and ad hoc techno-economic investigations.

Core Accountabilities:
The specific duties of the Mine Engineers include but are not limited to the following:
• Plan and coordinate, with relevant personnel, safe, effective and efficient production operations.
• New reserve / feasibility studies
• Short and long-term planning and engineering
• Demonstrate behaviour which is in accordance with Operating Principles
• Record and report volumes and equipment statistics
• Review, monitor and develop recommendations to improve the way work is performed and resources utilised to achieve key performance indicators
• Perform planning and designing for the mining infrastructure
• Strong communication skills and work ethic.
• Assist with the preparation of capital and operating budgets and cost effective management of the work area
• Complete other special projects as assigned.

THE ENGINEER:
• B.S. in Mining Engineering OR equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Willingness to work effectively in a team-based environment
• Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks or projects.
• Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet, and computer drafting computer software.
