Duties Include:
- Computer use and literacy
- Make accurate reports and document all security incidents
- Foot patrol of all building both interior and exterior
- 2 way radio use and professionalism
- Responding to Alarms and people whom require assistance
- Monitoring access control
- Collect physical and verbal evidence of misconduct or crime
- Monitoring situations, cameras, property and events
- Offer support to any person in need of assistance
- Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders
Skills/Qualifications Required:
- BST is considered an asset
- Applicants with a Class 4 or equivalent driver's license will be preferred
- Must hold a full class 5 driver's license (No GDL, learners/beginners, or restrictions).
- Skills to deal with challenges and communicate effectively
- Must be physically able to walk 18 - 20 km/day
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts (evenings/weekends/days)and/or F/T, P/T, Casual work.
- Ability to write comprehensive reports and maintain proper records
- Ability to make quick decisions in emergency response situations with minimal supervision
- Carry out written and verbal instructions
- Ability to handle private and confidential information with a high amount of discretion
- Must be bondable
- Basic knowledge of security procedures, handling violent behaviors, and non-defensive communication
- High School Diploma
- Must be 18 years of age
