MANAGER - ACCOUNTING & ASSURANCE - HAMILTON
We have an immediate opening for an experienced MANAGER who will be responsible for providing Auditing and Assurance services to clients in the Hamilton area. Specific responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
Engagement Roles and Responsibilities:
·Oversee all aspects of audit file completion including planning, monitoring, managing, scheduling, file review, budget preparation, etc.
·Attend client meetings, audit committee meetings, prepare appropriate client documentation including management letter, miscellaneous correspondence, etc.
·Oversee engagement teams, monitor workload requirements/timelines, prepare and deliver team member evaluations
·Deliver on a timely basis, financial statements and tax returns according to firm standards
·Proactive management of budget, engagement planning, execution, and completion of WIP
·Keep the partner informed, on an ongoing basis, of progress and significant issues
·Management of personal tax needs of client
·Coordination of tax assignments including preparation or review of returns, coordination with the tax department to ensure queries are cleared and deadlines met
·Establish good working relationships with the client’s management and accounting staff
Competencies will include (but not be limited to):
·University degree in accounting
·Qualified CA (r writing reciprocity exams)
·Minimum 7 years experience in a public accounting firm
·Excellent written and verbal communication skills
·Able to prioritize with the flexibility to manage workload demands and multiple tasks as required
·Advanced computer skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word)
·Advanced working knowledge of Profile and CaseWare/Caseview
