Reporting to the Director, Operations, this management position is responsible for the delivery of all programs, oversight of the dept. policies and procedures, projects, services relating to the effective operation of all functions related to client tax reporting, Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP) account/grant administration and Estate administration. The role is also accountable for the operational effectiveness of our Tax processing/reporting, RESP/RDSP Estate administration processes with a focus on: driving related systems enhancements, leading related steady state and legislation driven department projects, and timely cost effective service delivery within established service level agreement commitments. In addition to leadership competencies this unique role requires knowledge of all current Investment Dealer Tax legislation and the ability to transfer subject matter expertise to the team.
The incumbent must maintain current knowledge through the study of available tax service material, government publications (Canada Revenue Agency, Revenue Quebec & Internal Revenue Service) and budget in order to keep them informed of changes in the relevant tax laws applicable to Investment Dealer client tax reporting.
As a leader, the role is required to participate in the development of strategic initiatives relating to their area of responsibility. It is important that this role keep abreast of internal and external developments relating to the Investment Dealer Client Tax Reporting RESP/RDSP Estate administration, coupled with a keen awareness of related client demands, the manager will continually strive to move their business forward by ever increasing operational efficiency that improves our service level commitments.
